R1 motocross started out as just a shop trading all types of motocross goods and bikes for 3 years befor have the idea of strating our own team, one of the staff within the shop was already doing motocross at a high level and he also wanted to take his career to the next level. After getting the money ready and all the team equipment it was now time to get our ridders, who are still witht he team today, our first ridder was also our first employee Ryan Newson, the next ridder to join the team was Greg Wilson who we scouted from a local national club, the third ridder we scouted was Jamie Tempest and the final ridder we scouted was Isaac Lloyd.

The team started 3 years ago and already we have a high finish in the world championship of 5th, we are now in our 4 year of being a professional team and we are currently running 3 in the world championship and 2nd the british supercross
